Kellie Thompson Named Director of the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies

Buder Center for American Indian Studies within the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, effective January 1, 2019. Dr. Molly Tovar will retire as Director of the Buder Center on December 31, 2018 after eight years of exceptional service. Kellie earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame and Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. She was previously the Assistant Director at the Buder Center and before this a Research Coordinator at the Center for Diabetes Translation Research.

With her promotion to Director, the Buder Center is now seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Director position. This position will play a leadership role in executing the Center’s strategic plan, collaborate with campus and community partners to support the mission of the Center, and implement programs related to recruitment, retention and research.
